Delhi Chief Minister Receives Threatening Call on Emergency Helpline in Ghaziabad

Delhi/Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has received a threatening call on the emergency helpline, prompting local authorities to initiate an investigation to trace the caller, officials reported on Friday.

As of now, law enforcement has not been able to identify the individual responsible for the threat, which was made during the late hours of Thursday night into Friday morning.

According to officials, the alarming call was received on the Dial 112 emergency helpline. “In response to this serious information, we promptly notified the Delhi Police Control Room,” stated Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ritesh Tripathi.

“A police team was dispatched to Panchwati Colony, the location from which the call was reportedly made. Unfortunately, we were unable to establish contact with the individual who dialed 112,” the ACP added.

“Police teams are actively working to identify the caller through surveillance measures,” he concluded.
