New Delhi: MCD Standing Committee Chairperson Satya Sharma has asked officials to prepare an action plan to expand services at Purnima Sethi Multi-Speciality Hospital in Kalkaji, after saying the hospital’s existing space and infrastructure were being used on a limited scale.
During an October 28 inspection, Sharma asked Additional Commissioner Pankaj Naresh Agarwal to assess the available resources and examine whether additional healthcare facilities could be introduced, according to an MCD release.
Existing capacity under review
Sharma reviewed the hospital’s services, spoke with patients and inspected the Ayushman Arogya Mandir and dialysis facility operating at the hospital, the release said.
She said fuller use of the existing infrastructure could help residents of Kalkaji and surrounding areas access better medical facilities. The directions call for an assessment and an action plan; the release did not say that new services had already been approved or launched.
Kalkaji councillor Yogita Singh, South East Ward Committee chairperson Neetu Chaudhary and other officials were also present.
