Delhi Police Gets New Team as LG Orders Transfer, Posting of 43 IPS and DANIPS Officers

New Delhi, August 18: Delhi’s police administration has undergone a major reshuffle, with the Lieutenant Governor ordering the transfer and posting of 43 IPS and DANIPS officers with immediate effect on the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board, according to an order issued by the Delhi Home Department.

Among senior officers, Garima Bhatnagar, a 1994-batch IPS officer serving as Special CP/EOW, will continue in the post while taking additional charge as MD, DPHCL. Manish Agrawal, Special CP/Traffic, has been transferred as Special CP/PSD, while Ajay Chaudhary moves from Special CP/PSD to Special CP/Traffic.

David Lalrinsanga will continue as Special CP/Operations (PCR and Communication) with additional charge of SPUNER. Atul Katiyar has been transferred from Special CP/Vigilance to Special CP/Welfare and Legal Division, while K. Jegadesan will continue as Special CP/Intelligence Division without the additional charge of MD/DPHCL.

Vivek Kishore, transferred from Arunachal Pradesh, has been posted as Special CP/SPUWAC and Licensing. Sindhu Pillai, transferred from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has been posted as Special CP/Vigilance with additional charge of Perception Management and Media Cell.

Veenu Bansal has been posted as Joint CP/SPUWAC and SPUNER, Suman Goyal as Joint CP/Western Range, Rajneesh Gupta as Joint CP/Transport Range and Jatin Narwal as Joint CP/Special Branch. Milind Mahadeo Dumbere has been posted as Joint CP/Eastern Range with effect from September 1, 2026.

Deepak Purohit has been shifted from Joint CP/New Delhi Range to Joint CP/Licensing, while Nupur Prasad has been posted as Joint CP/New Delhi Range. Ajay Krishan Sharma, transferred from Goa, has been posted as Joint CP/HQ.

Monica Bharadwaj has been transferred from Additional CP/IFSO to Additional CP/Crime, while Sanjay Bhatia moves from Additional CP/HQ Personnel to Additional CP/IFSO. Dinesh Kumar Gupta has been posted as Additional CP/DPHCL, Varsha Sharma as Additional CP/EOW, Pratiksha Godara as Additional CP/Traffic (HQ), Jitendra Kumar Meena as Additional CP/Vigilance and Nidhin Valsan as Additional CP/Special Branch.

At the district level, Raja Banthia has been transferred from DCP/North District to DCP/Technology and PI, while Hemant Tewari moves from DCP/South East District to DCP/Special Branch. Vineet Kumar has been posted as DCP/South East District. Niharika Bhatt has been elevated from Additional DCP-I/North District to DCP/North District.

Sachin Singhal has been posted as DCP/Traffic, while Shweta Chauhan has also been transferred from ACB to DCP/Traffic. Gaurav Tyagi, transferred from Mizoram, has been posted as DCP/IFSO. Satyawan Gautam, transferred from Arunachal Pradesh, has been given charge as DCP/PCR and Operations, while Raineesh, DANIPS, transferred from Lakshadweep, has been posted as DCP/DPHCL.

The order, issued by Principal Secretary (Home) Santosh D. Vaidya, takes effect immediately, except for the posting of Milind Mahadeo Dumbere as Joint CP/Eastern Range, which will take effect from September 1.
