Delhi Jal Board Sets March 31, 2027 Deadline for 100% Late-Payment Surcharge Waiver

Date:

New Delhi: The Delhi Jal Board has said consumers must pay the principal amount of their outstanding water bills by March 31, 2027, to receive a 100% waiver on the late-payment surcharge under its LPSC waiver scheme.

The water utility described the deadline as the final opportunity for consumers and said the scheme would not be extended again after March 31, 2027.

“Under the Delhi Jal Board’s LPSC scheme, pay only the principal amount of the outstanding bill before March 31, 2027, and avail a 100% waiver on the late-payment surcharge,” DJB said in a post on X.

The Jal Board urged eligible consumers to complete the payment within the prescribed period to avoid losing the waiver benefit.

The post did not specify whether consumers facing disputed bills or pending grievance applications would receive separate consideration.
