New Delhi: Entry and exit at 45 Delhi Metro stations will remain closed until 10 pm on October 10, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said, extending the security-related restrictions beyond the earlier 6 pm deadline.
The stations have been closed since 9 pm on Friday. DMRC said security agencies would review the situation and further updates would be issued accordingly.
The latest announcement extends the closure period given in the revised advisory covering 45 stations. That advisory replaced an earlier list of 57 stations and said interchange would remain available at the concerned stations except New Delhi.
The update follows the Supreme Court’s directions on regulated Metro and rail services. Commuters can also read the October 10 traffic advisory and our report on the denial of permission for the proposed Jantar Mantar protest.
