New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor has received a dividend cheque of ₹22.75 crore from Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) for the financial year 2025–26, highlighting the company’s continued contribution to the capital’s energy ecosystem.
Sharing the update on X, the LG noted that IGL has played a key role in expanding the Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network across Delhi, including outer and rural areas. The company’s efforts have significantly improved access to clean energy for households and businesses.
The LG also acknowledged IGL’s proactive role in addressing the recent gas shortage in the city. The company worked in close coordination with the Delhi Government, ensuring smooth approvals, waivers of applicable charges, and faster rollout of PNG connections to maintain uninterrupted supply.
Emphasising future collaboration, the LG expressed confidence in strengthening partnerships with IGL to further enhance energy security and public welfare in Delhi.
