Delhi Police Conducts Anti-Terror Mock Drill at Taj Hotel Chanakyapuri to Test Emergency Response Preparedness

New Delhi: New Delhi District Police conducted a large-scale anti-terrorist mock drill at the Taj Hotel in Chanakyapuri to assess operational preparedness, tactical response capabilities, hostage rescue operations and inter-agency coordination during terror-related emergency situations.

The exercise simulated a hostage crisis scenario and involved multiple specialised units working together in a coordinated response operation.

Several elite and emergency response teams participated in the mock drill, including: SWAT teams, Delhi Police Special Cell, Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), Delhi Fire Services, CAT Ambulance teams, Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) units and Other specialised police and emergency response personnel.

Officials said the drill was aimed at testing the preparedness of various agencies in handling high-risk terror contingencies, especially at sensitive and high-footfall locations in the national capital.

During the exercise, participating teams demonstrated rapid response mechanisms, tactical intervention procedures, evacuation protocols and coordinated rescue operations in a simulated hostage situation.

Police officials stated that such mock drills are regularly conducted to strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure seamless coordination among different security and disaster response agencies.

New Delhi District Police reiterated its commitment towards maintaining safety, security and operational readiness in the national capital amid evolving security challenges.
