New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered the transfer of IAS officers Ashwani Kumar and Dr Ashish Chandra Verma from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi with immediate effect and until further orders.
The October 27, 2026 order, issued with the approval of the competent authority, identifies Kumar as a 1992-batch AGMUT-cadre officer and Verma as a 1994-batch officer of the same cadre.
The order specifies Delhi as the destination for both officers. It does not assign either officer a particular departmental portfolio.
