Delhi liquor booking app offers online payment, store pickup at 208 outlets

Date:

New Delhi: The Delhi liquor booking service allows customers to book and pay digitally before collecting their purchase from 208 government outlets operated by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC). The facility does not include home delivery.

DSIIDC’s “Delhi Liquor Booking” app lets customers choose the brand, bottle size and quantity and complete the payment online.

After payment, the customer receives a QR code. The code must be scanned at the outlet before the booked liquor is handed over.

Customers must collect their purchase from the shop within 48 hours of booking. The facility currently covers 208 DSIIDC outlets.

The stated purpose is to reduce queues at shops and improve transparency in billing. Customers still need to visit the outlet to collect their purchase.
