New Delhi: Delhi residents seeking to add their names to the electoral roll or update existing entries can visit special camps at all polling-station locations on Sunday, October 11, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer has announced.
The camps are part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The claims and objections window remains open until October 30, giving eligible residents time to check the draft roll and submit the required forms and documents.
The CEO’s bulletin asks residents to check whether their names appear in the draft electoral roll, published on August 31 and available at polling stations and through the CEO Delhi website. Anyone whose name is missing should submit Form 6 with the declaration and supporting documents prescribed by the Election Commission.
New applicants who turned 18 on or before October 1, 2026, may also apply through Form 6. Residents seeking an address change or a correction to an existing entry should use Form 8.
The bulletin dated October 10 records 2,09,855 Form 6 applications, 374 Form 6A applications, 7,697 Form 7 applications and 78,456 Form 8 applications received between August 31 and October 9. These are counts of forms received, rather than a tally of approved additions, deletions or corrections.
Claims and objections received by October 30 are to be disposed of by November 30. The final electoral roll is scheduled for publication on December 4, according to the bulletin.
The camps offer an opportunity to seek voter-service assistance before the deadline. DNL’s earlier report explains the extension of Delhi’s claims and objections window, while its SIR FAQ report explains why a notice is not a final deletion.
