Delhi Traffic Advisory: Possible Diversions at 30 Points From 6 am on October 11

New Delhi: Delhi Traffic Police has warned of possible restrictions and diversions at 30 points across the Capital on Sunday, October 11, with measures to begin from 6 am depending on the prevailing law-and-order situation.

The advisory covers approaches to New Delhi and Central Delhi, including Connaught Place, Jantar Mantar, Mandi House, Dhaula Kuan and adjoining stretches. Commuters heading to railway stations, inter-state bus terminals or the airport have been asked to allow extra travel time.

Where movement may be affected

Police listed the following points and surrounding stretches. Diversions will depend on conditions at the time:

  2. Dhaula Kuan Flyover
  3. Jhandewalan roundabout
  4. Panchkuian roundabout
  5. Mandi House roundabout
  6. Dr Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk (W-Point)
  7. Ram Charan Aggarwal Chowk (A-Point)
  8. Minto Road–Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg
  9. Guru Nanak Chowk
  10. Chelmsford Road–Outer Circle, Connaught Place T-point
  11. Bhairon Road–MGM (Ring Road) T-point
  12. Lodhi Road Flyover
  13. Neela Gumbad roundabout
  14. Madarsa T-point
  15. Samrat Hotel roundabout
  16. Sardar Patel Marg–Panchsheel Marg crossing
  17. Under Bhikaji Cama Place
  18. Under Moti Bagh Flyover
  19. Ring Road–San Martin Marg T-point
  20. Ashoka Road–Jantar Mantar Road roundabout
  21. Windsor Palace roundabout
  22. Tolstoy Marg–Janpath crossing

Police urged commuters to avoid non-essential travel. The advisory makes clear that traffic-management measures will be dynamic: restrictions may be relaxed or regulated on the basis of real-time assessments on the ground.

Travellers should monitor Delhi Traffic Police’s official channels for live alerts and alternate routes. The traffic helplines are 1095 and 011-25844444.

The road advisory comes after DMRC reopened the entry and exit gates of all Delhi Metro stations and restored interchange access on Saturday night. The earlier security-related closure had affected 45 Metro stations.
