New Delhi: Delhi’s new Master Plan 2047 has been approved for further consideration, Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu said after chairing a meeting of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Wednesday.
In a post on X, Sandhu said the meeting was attended by members of the Authority, the Chief Secretary of the Government of NCT of Delhi, the DDA Vice-Chairman and senior officials of the departments and agencies concerned.
According to the Lieutenant Governor, the Master Plan seeks to align Delhi’s long-term vision with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat@2047 mission.
The meeting also deliberated on a roadmap for sustainable and inclusive urban growth, with emphasis on improving Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living, while working towards a cleaner and greener national capital, Sandhu said.
He said Delhi has a pivotal role in the journey towards Viksit Bharat@2047 and described the meeting as a meaningful exchange of ideas on building a world-class ‘Viksit Dilli’.
