Arvind Kejriwal Alleges Meta Restricted His Account in India, Seeks Explanation

Date:

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday alleged that Meta has restricted his account in India and sought an explanation from the company over the action.

In a post on X, Kejriwal tagged @Meta and @MetaIndia, claiming that his account had been restricted and was unavailable to users in India.

He said verbal enquiries at Meta’s India office indicated that the account had been restricted, but alleged that no reasons had been provided for the action or guidance on how the restrictions could be removed.

Kejriwal further claimed that emails sent to the company had received only routine acknowledgements without any substantive response.

In the same post, he criticised Meta’s handling of the issue and alleged that the company was yielding to pressure from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meta had not publicly responded to Kejriwal’s allegations at the time of publication.
