Delhi Father Arrested for Murdering 10-Month-Old Daughter, Dumping Body in Septic Tank After Fake Kidnapping Story

Date:

New Delhi, May 25: Delhi Police has solved a shocking kidnapping hoax case within hours after discovering that a 10-month-old infant girl had allegedly been murdered by her own father, who later fabricated a fake kidnapping story to mislead investigators.

The disturbing incident was reported from Mukundpur Part-II under the Bhalswa Dairy police station area in Outer North Delhi.

According to Delhi Police, an emergency PCR call was received on May 24 claiming that a 10-month-old baby girl had been kidnapped from her residence.

Given the seriousness of the case and the vulnerability of the infant, multiple police teams were immediately formed under the supervision of senior officers, and an intensive investigation was launched.

Police teams began examining CCTV footage from nearby areas and escape routes while simultaneously questioning family members.

The complainant, identified as Deepak, initially told police that his daughter had disappeared from her bed during a brief five-minute period when he had allegedly stepped out to buy biscuits.

However, investigators soon noticed major inconsistencies in his statements and timeline.

A detailed frame-by-frame analysis of CCTV footage failed to support the father’s version of events, raising suspicion about his involvement.

Under sustained interrogation, the accused eventually broke down and confessed to the crime.

According to police, Deepak admitted that he was facing severe financial difficulties and believed he could not afford the upbringing expenses of a second daughter.

Investigators said the accused confessed to murdering the infant and throwing her body into the septic tank of his own house before creating a false kidnapping narrative to divert police attention.

Following the confession, police recovered the body of the child from the septic tank at the accused’s residence.

Delhi Police subsequently added murder charges under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the accused father was formally arrested.

Police identified the accused as 25-year-old Deepak, a Class 12-pass resident of Mukundpur, who worked as a school van driver for G.D. Goenka Public School in Model Town.

Officials said the prompt investigation, coordinated police response and technical analysis helped expose the accused within a remarkably short period.

Further legal proceedings and investigation in the case are currently underway.
