21-Year-Old Man Drowns in Canal Near Bawana Sector-4 During Bath

New Delhi, May 25: A 21-year-old man drowned in a canal near Sector-4 in Delhi’s Bawana area on Sunday after reportedly being swept away by the strong water current while taking a bath with his colleague.

According to Delhi Police, information regarding a body found in the canal near Sector-4, Bawana, was received at Bawana Police Station around 4:44 PM on May 25.

During the preliminary enquiry, police identified the deceased as Aman, son of Ranjeet Singh, a resident of Aura Simra Apartment in Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

Police said Aman had come to ASEV Automotive Pvt. Ltd. in Bawana for verification work along with his colleague Dheeraj, a resident of Sanjay Colony, Badli in Delhi.

According to officials, after completing their work, both men allegedly decided to take a bath in the nearby canal.

During bathing, Aman was reportedly swept away due to the strong flow of water and drowned in the canal.

Police later recovered the body from the canal and initiated further legal proceedings.

Delhi Police said further enquiry into the incident is currently underway.
