Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Flags Off Rescue Ambulances for Homeless and Needy People

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday flagged off rescue ambulances and welfare vans of Apna Ghar Ashram from the Chief Minister’s Jan Seva Sadan as part of an initiative aimed at helping homeless and destitute individuals across the national capital.

Sharing details on X, the Chief Minister said the rescue vehicles will operate across Delhi to identify and safely transport abandoned, helpless and needy people to shelter homes run by the organisation.

According to the Delhi CM, the rescued individuals will be provided with medical treatment, care, food, shelter and rehabilitation facilities at the ashram.

Rekha Gupta praised the efforts of Apna Ghar Ashram, describing the initiative as a noble act of public service dedicated to supporting vulnerable sections of society.

She said such humanitarian efforts play an important role in ensuring dignity, protection and care for those living without support or shelter in the city.

The initiative is expected to strengthen outreach and rehabilitation support for homeless persons and people in distress across Delhi.
