New Delhi: Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Dr. Monika Pant, conducted a field inspection in Ram Nagar Ward No. 222 under the Shahdara North Zone and reviewed sanitation arrangements, civic infrastructure, and public facilities in the area.
During the inspection, area Councillor Chandra Prakash Sharma, Shahdara North Zone Deputy Commissioner Mamta Yadav, and senior civic officials accompanied the Deputy Mayor.
Dr. Monika Pant inspected cleanliness arrangements across the ward and instructed officials to further strengthen sanitation measures and ensure regular maintenance to provide residents with a clean and healthy environment.
She stressed the importance of maintaining sanitation standards at public places, roadsides, and surrounding localities, directing officials to ensure timely cleaning operations and improved monitoring.
As part of the visit, the Deputy Mayor also inspected a Municipal Corporation school in the ward and reviewed the condition of classrooms, sanitation facilities, drinking water arrangements, and other basic infrastructure available for students.
She directed officials to ensure proper upkeep of toilets, availability of clean drinking water, and maintenance of hygiene standards within school premises to create a better educational environment for children.
Dr. Monika Pant stated that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is continuously working to improve civic amenities and strengthen cleanliness infrastructure across the city.
She also instructed officials to ensure prompt redressal of local public grievances and maintain pace in ongoing development works.
Reiterating the civic body’s commitment toward public welfare, the Deputy Mayor said MCD remains focused on sanitation, civic infrastructure, and improving the quality of life for Delhi residents.
