New Delhi: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, the BJP launched its nationwide ‘Seva Pakhwada’ (Service Fortnight), which will continue until October 2. In Delhi, the celebrations took a major shape with a mega blood donation camp at India Gate, led by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and senior ministers of the Delhi government.

Rekha Gupta personally donated blood at the event and encouraged her colleagues to participate. Prominent faces at the camp included Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, Health Minister Pankaj Singh, Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and Kapil Mishra, who all joined the drive to mark Modi’s birthday with a commitment to public service.

Health Minister Pankaj Singh said the campaign was launched with the motto “Raktdan, Mahadan” and highlighted that alongside blood donation, 101 Jan Aushadhi Kendras and 150 new dialysis centres were inaugurated in Delhi as part of the fortnight of service. “We pray for the Prime Minister’s long life and good health, and Delhi is celebrating with a spirit of service and dedication,” he said.

Within just two hours of the camp, over 800 units of blood were donated, while thousands of youth participated in a ‘Seva Sankalp Walk’ at Kartavya Path, symbolizing unity and a pledge to contribute towards nation-building under Modi’s leadership.

Rekha Gupta, interacting with ministers and volunteers, said Delhi was determined to honor the Prime Minister’s vision through service-oriented governance. “The problems that have held Delhi back for years must be resolved with commitment. Through Seva Pakhwada, we are sending the message that Delhi will win hearts and move forward under PM Modi’s guidance,” she said.

The BJP has planned 75 major programs across Delhi under the Seva Pakhwada initiative, ranging from health camps to social outreach drives, ensuring that the Prime Minister’s birthday is marked not with fanfare but with community service and citizen engagement.
