New Delhi: A fire broke out in a four-storey building in North-East Delhi’s Seelampur area in the early hours of Tuesday, prompting a swift response from emergency services. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported.
According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), the fire erupted at around 2:30 AM in a commercial-cum-residential building located in Gali No. 14, Chauhan Banger locality. The ground floor housed a jeans showroom, while the upper floors were residential.
“We received the call at 2:32 AM and immediately dispatched seven fire tenders to the site,” a DFS official confirmed. The blaze was brought under control by 8:05 AM after an extended firefighting operation.
Authorities are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire, and further investigation is underway to evaluate the extent of property damage.
