New Delhi: The Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning and Engineering) Centre has approved key infrastructure projects aimed at improving transit integration, pedestrian connectivity and last-mile access across the capital, Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena’s office said on Wednesday.
The decisions were taken at the 70th Governing Body meeting of UTTIPEC, chaired by the Lieutenant Governor. According to the official X post, the meeting reviewed major road infrastructure and multimodal-integration projects intended to ease congestion and improve urban connectivity.
The Lieutenant Governor’s office said the approved projects focus on seamless transit integration, safer pedestrian movement and improved last-mile access. It added that coordinated implementation across agencies is central to improving mobility and quality of life in Delhi.
The X post did not provide project-wise costs, implementation deadlines or detailed location-specific plans.
