New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena has directed officials to complete a safety and maintenance audit of all parks across Delhi within one week, according to an official statement posted by the LG’s office on X.
The review will cover lighting, security, cleanliness and patrolling arrangements in parks. Delhi Police has been asked to strengthen beat patrolling and the deployment of Pink Police teams, the official post said.
The LG also directed the Delhi Development Authority and MCD to explore partnerships with resident welfare associations, institutions and private organisations for park upkeep.
