NEW DELHI: Police stations across South-East Delhi district held “Eyes & Ears” meetings with residents, RWA/MWA members and community representatives to strengthen community policing and encourage timely information-sharing on suspicious activity.
The district police said the purpose of the meetings was to build closer cooperation with local communities and encourage residents to promptly bring suspicious activities to police attention.

The outreach brought local residents and association representatives into direct contact with police as part of the district’s community-policing initiative. The police update placed early sharing of information at the centre of the meetings.
The initiative’s stated aim is to make neighbourhoods safer through cooperation between police and the community. The meetings provide a forum for residents and their representatives to participate in that effort.
