New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at Palika Kendra to review the Summer Action Plan and ongoing heatwave mitigation measures in the national capital.
The ICCC, regarded as the digital nerve center of Delhi, leverages IoT-based systems to integrate multiple civic services, including water management and environmental monitoring. Officials highlighted that this technology-driven governance model has strong potential for replication across urban local bodies nationwide to enhance civic service delivery.
Emphasizing the broader vision of a “Viksit Bharat,” the LG noted that Delhi plays a central role, with New Delhi symbolizing this developmental vision. While acknowledging the advanced technological capabilities of the ICCC, he underlined that effective on-ground execution remains critical, particularly to safeguard vulnerable communities and frontline workers during extreme heat conditions.
Reaffirming the administration’s commitment, Sandhu stated that efforts will continue toward building a resilient, citizen-centric urban governance framework in Delhi.
