Delhi Must Build Smarter Urban Systems, Not Just More Infrastructure: LG

Date:

NEW DELHI: Delhi’s next stage of development should focus on building smarter urban systems rather than simply building more, the Lieutenant Governor said while discussing India-Japan cooperation.

In an update on his address at the NDTV World Indo-Japan Summit, the LG said Akie Abe was present at the event and highlighted the potential to bring Japanese technology together with Indian talent.

Integrated and resilient city systems

He set out a vision for integrated, resilient and sustainable urban systems for the next generation of Delhi.

The LG described the India-Japan relationship as a partnership for the future and referred to the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

He called for Japanese technology and Indian talent to translate into world-class solutions, linking the effort with the goals of Viksit Delhi and Viksit Bharat.
