Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Crosses 6 Lakh Registrations in 10 Days; ₹2,500 Monthly Aid, 17 Lakh Women Targeted

Delhi: More than six lakh registrations have been recorded for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana within 10 days, with the Delhi government targeting benefits for 17 lakh women under the scheme, according to information shared by the government on X.

Under the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, eligible women will receive financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month. The government has described the scheme as a major step towards women’s economic empowerment and has made a provision of ₹5,100 crore for it.

According to the details shared with the campaign, women aged between 21 and 60 years are eligible to apply, subject to the family’s annual income being up to ₹2.5 lakh.

The government said the scheme has received a strong response from women in the capital, with more than six lakh registrations in the first 10 days. The stated target is to extend the benefit to 17 lakh women.

The campaign material has also urged eligible women to register for the scheme. Applications can be submitted online through the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana portal at dly.delhi.gov.in.

For those seeking offline registration, the material states that applicants can approach the nearest District Magistrate office, Common Service Centre (CSC) or district Women and Child Development office.

The Delhi government, while highlighting the registration figures, said the monthly assistance of ₹2,500 is aimed at strengthening women’s economic empowerment in the capital.
