New Delhi: Delhi Traffic Police has integrated the National Highways Authority of India’s Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras on the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway with the eChallan system, enabling technology-based detection and prosecution of traffic violations.
Delhi Traffic Police, in a post on X, said more than 1,000 challans and notices have already been issued for over-speeding through the integrated system.
According to the police, linking the ANPR camera network with the eChallan system is aimed at strengthening traffic enforcement on high-speed corridors and promoting safer and more disciplined driving.
