Two Accidents, One Night: Fatal I20–Truck Crash, Another Car Plunges into Drain in Rohini

Date:

New Delhi: A late-night road accident in Rohini claimed the life of a scooty rider after a high-impact collision between an I20 car and a truck near Rithala Metro Station, police said on Sunday.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when the car and the truck collided with significant force, trapping the scooty rider between the two heavy vehicles. The victim sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot, officials confirmed. The identity of the deceased is yet to be formally released.

Police teams reached the spot shortly after the incident, and traffic movement in the area was temporarily affected. The damaged vehicles were later removed, and a case has been registered to ascertain the exact cause of the crash. Further investigation is underway.

Another Accident in Rohini, No Casualties

In a separate incident reported the same night, a speeding car lost control and plunged into a drain in another part of Rohini. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. The occupants managed to escape without serious injuries, police said.

Authorities have once again urged motorists to avoid overspeeding and drive cautiously, especially during late-night hours when visibility is low and roads appear deceptively empty.
