Transnational Arms & Terror Module Busted; Key Operative Linked to Bishnoi Network Arrested

Date:

New Delhi: In a major crackdown on organized crime, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has busted a transnational arms and terror module, arresting a key operative linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi–Rohit Godara network.

According to officials, the arrested accused is a crucial link in the syndicate’s extortion and illegal arms supply chain. The operation has exposed a wider international nexus involving transnational arms trafficking and suspected terror activities.

During the raid, police recovered a high-end foreign-made semi-automatic pistol along with live cartridges from the accused. Investigators revealed that the network has overseas connections in locations such as Dubai and Bangkok, and is suspected to have backing from hostile foreign agencies.

So far, the operation has led to the arrest of 13 accused persons, with the recovery of 24 sophisticated foreign weapons and 216 live cartridges, marking a significant breakthrough in curbing organized crime networks.

Authorities have invoked stringent provisions under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and further investigation is underway to dismantle the entire network and trace its international links.

The operation was carried out by the ARSC unit of the Crime Branch, led by Inspectors Man Singh and Sunder Gautam under the leadership of ACP Sanjay Nagpal, and supervised by DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.
