New Delhi: A shocking triple murder has rocked the Karawal Nagar area of the national capital, where a man allegedly killed his wife and two young daughters following a heated domestic dispute. The accused, identified as Pradeep, has been arrested by the Delhi Police within hours of the incident.
According to preliminary investigation, Pradeep frequently quarreled with and physically assaulted his wife Jayshree, often under the influence of alcohol. Family members of the deceased allege that the accused was addicted to liquor and gambling, and regularly subjected his wife to violence.
The victims have been identified as Jayshree and her daughters, aged 5 and 7. The murders took place inside their residence in Karawal Nagar. Forensic teams, along with senior police officials including the DCP, visited the crime scene to collect evidence.
Police sources said that Pradeep and his two brothers initially fled the spot after the crime, but law enforcement launched multiple search operations leading to Pradeep’s arrest. A murder case has been registered, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
Relatives revealed that Jayshree had been married to Pradeep since 2017, and frequent arguments over financial issues were common. On the day of the incident, the victim’s brother, who was expecting her to visit for Raksha Bandhan, received a call informing him about the murders.
Police are now interrogating the accused to establish the exact sequence of events and the motive behind the killings. The victim’s family has demanded the death penalty for the accused.
