Amar Colony Firing Victim Succumbs to Injuries; Grieving Father Demands Justice

Date:

New Delhi, June 1: The 17-year-old boy who was critically injured in a firing incident outside a restaurant in Delhi’s Amar Colony has succumbed to his injuries, Delhi Police confirmed on Sunday.

The teenager had sustained gunshot injuries during the incident and was undergoing treatment at a hospital. However, despite medical efforts, he could not be saved.

The victim’s death has triggered outrage among family members and residents, with fresh questions being raised about law and order and the increasing involvement of young offenders in violent crimes.

Speaking to the media, the victim’s father, Sunil Kumaar, said his son was shot without any provocation and called for strict action against those responsible.

“I had only one son. He was shot for no reason. What happened to my son can happen to anyone’s child. I want to tell the administration that if such incidents continue, no family is safe,” he said.

Expressing disappointment over the investigation, the grieving father alleged that the accused were receiving support because of their influence and age.

“The administration is not helping us in any way. Some people are getting support because they are underage or because they come from influential families. We only want justice for our son,” he said.

Police officials said the investigation into the firing incident is continuing and all aspects of the case are being examined. The circumstances leading to the shooting, the role of the accused and the sequence of events before the attack are under scrutiny.

The victim’s death has intensified demands for swift legal action against those involved. Family members and local residents have urged authorities to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice at the earliest.

Delhi Police said further details regarding the case would be shared as the investigation progresses.
