₹1.5 Crore Heroin Seized in Rohini; 3 Drug Peddlers Arrested by Delhi Police

Date:

New Delhi: In a major anti-narcotics operation, Delhi Police arrested three drug peddlers, including a key supplier, and seized heroin worth approximately ₹1.5 crore in Rohini.

The operation was carried out by teams from Police Station Budh Vihar, who recovered a total of 357 grams of heroin during the crackdown. A motorcycle used for distributing the contraband was also seized.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, police laid a trap near Bhagwan Mahavir Marg in Sector-24, Rohini, where two accused — Sameer Ahmed (21) and Ashish Soni (29) — were apprehended. Around 300 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession at the spot.

Further investigation led to the arrest of a third आरोपी, identified as a key source in the supply chain. Police suspect the trio to be part of a larger drug distribution network operating in the city.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, and efforts are underway to trace other members and dismantle the wider network.
