₹2 Lakh to ₹3 Crore Scam Turns Deadly: Fake Tantrik Arrested in Delhi Peeragarhi Triple Murder

Date:

New Delhi: In a shocking breakthrough in the Peeragarhi triple death case, Delhi Police have arrested a self-styled tantrik accused of poisoning three individuals who were found dead inside a car on Sunday. The accused, identified as Kamruddin, allegedly lured victims with promises of “dhann varsha” — a ritual claiming to multiply money through occult practices.

According to police officials, Kamruddin had met the victims shortly before their deaths. Investigations revealed that he allegedly offered to turn ₹2 lakh into ₹3 crore by performing a ritual. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed to mixing toxic substances into laddus that were served to the victims.

DCP Sachin Sharma stated that sustained questioning, technical analysis, and CCTV footage helped establish the accused’s involvement. Police suspect that two types of chemicals were mixed in the sweets — one to cause unconsciousness and another to prove fatal — to avoid immediate suspicion.

Initial findings indicate that the victims had approached the accused through references for health-related issues. The tantrik allegedly gained their trust by performing staged “miracles” before convincing them to invest money for the so-called ritual.

Forensic samples have been sent for laboratory examination, and police are awaiting detailed chemical analysis reports. A murder case has been registered, and further arrests are possible as investigators probe the source of the chemicals and potential accomplices.

Authorities have also discovered previous FIRs against the accused, including one registered in Rajasthan in 2014, indicating a history of similar fraudulent activities.

The case has once again highlighted the dangers of occult scams and financial frauds operating under the guise of spiritual remedies in the national capital.
