New Delhi: Delhi Metro has reopened entry and exit gates at all stations across its network, ending the restrictions imposed at six stations on October 12 for security reasons.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced the reopening at 5.04 pm and said interchange facilities at all the affected stations were also available.
Six stations were affected
The earlier restrictions covered Patel Chowk, Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Central Secretariat and Barakhamba Road. Their entry and exit gates had been closed from 6 am.
The initial advisory set the closure until 4 pm. In a subsequent update at 4.24 pm, DMRC extended it until 5 pm and said security agencies would review the situation before further updates.
The 5.04 pm announcement confirmed that the gates were open throughout the network. It also expressly confirmed the availability of interchange facilities at the stations concerned.
