New Delhi: Entry and exit at six Delhi Metro stations will remain closed from 6 am to 4 pm on October 12 for security reasons, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said. Interchange facilities will remain available at the affected stations.
The stations are Patel Chowk, Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Central Secretariat and Barakhamba Road. The restriction concerns passengers entering or leaving these stations; DMRC has retained interchange access.
Security agencies to review restrictions
DMRC said security agencies would review the situation and necessary updates would be shared accordingly. Its service update, issued at 2:11 am on October 12, specifies the closure window until 4 pm.
Passengers planning to enter or exit at any of the six stations during this period will need to account for the access restrictions. Those changing trains can continue to use the interchange facilities, according to the advisory.
