Burari’s Five-Lane Testing Station to Check One Lakh Vehicles a Year

Date:

New Delhi: Burari’s five-lane Automated Testing Station will carry out scientific fitness testing for one lakh vehicles a year, the Delhi government said, putting the city’s combined automated testing capacity at more than 2.5 lakh vehicles annually.

The Burari facility will use technology to check brake efficiency, suspension, headlights, side slip, emissions and the underside of vehicles, according to the government’s update.

Three stations increase testing capacity

Along with the automated testing stations at Tekhand and Nand Nagri, Burari will contribute to Delhi’s expanded vehicle fitness testing capacity.

The government described the checks as automated, scientific and transparent. The facility’s five lanes are intended to support technology-based assessment of the vehicle components covered in the fitness tests.
