New Delhi: Property surveys and mapping in Delhi’s unauthorised colonies are set to receive a technology upgrade under the ₹65-crore DRISHTI project, which the Centre has approved to accelerate PM-UDAY, the Delhi Chief Minister’s Office said.
PM-UDAY cells will be established in all 13 districts of Delhi under the project. Modern technology will be used to survey and map properties as part of the process of granting ownership rights to eligible families.
District cells to support ownership process
The CMO said the initiative aims to make the process of obtaining legal rights over homes easier and faster for families living in unauthorised colonies.
The proposed district cells and improved mapping are intended to streamline the work involved in processing property ownership under PM-UDAY. The Delhi government said its effort is to help beneficiaries obtain those rights without unnecessary difficulties.
