New Delhi: Delhi Police’s Outer North District AATS has apprehended a 24-year-old man who had been declared a proclaimed offender in a Keshav Puram theft case, police said.
The accused, identified as Aabid, a resident of Jahangirpuri, was traced through technical surveillance and field verification. Police said the team combined digital intelligence with information gathered on the ground to locate him.
Wanted in Keshav Puram case
According to police, Aabid had been declared a proclaimed offender in e-FIR No. 38560/24, registered at Keshav Puram police station under Sections 379 and 411 of the Indian Penal Code. Police also reported three previous involvements; the note did not provide details of those cases or their outcomes.
AATS team carried out operation
The operation was led by Inspector Anand Kumar Jha, in charge of AATS, under the supervision of ACP Operations Dinesh Kumar and the guidance of Additional DCP-I Lokeshwaran R. The proclaimed-offender staff comprised ASI Sandeep, Head Constable Abhishek Khatri and Constable Manish.
