New Delhi: Traffic on the carriageway from Ashram Chowk towards Sarai Kale Khan is likely to remain slow and affected for one week because of urgent repair work by the Delhi Jal Board, the Delhi Traffic Police said in an advisory on Thursday.
The advisory said the work is being carried out on the Ashram Chowk–Sarai Kale Khan carriageway in the direction of Sarai Kale Khan. It is expected to take about a week to complete.
Traffic impact
According to the official graphic attached to the advisory, traffic movement from Ashram towards Sarai Kale Khan, DND and Barapullah is expected to remain heavy and slow during the repair period.
Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and keep sufficient time in hand. Motorists should follow diversion signs and directions issued by traffic personnel deployed on the affected stretch.
The traffic police also asked road users to remain patient, follow traffic rules and cooperate with personnel regulating movement in the area.
