New Delhi: Delhi Police said its North district team arrested an alleged member of the Deepak Boxer–Gogi gang after an encounter in the Wazirabad area on Thursday.
According to a post shared by Delhi Police on X, the team acted on intelligence about a planned criminal activity in the capital and traced the suspect.
Police said the accused opened fire after being surrounded in Wazirabad. One bullet struck an officer’s bulletproof jacket, while the police team returned fire and arrested the suspect.
Delhi Police said two pistols, four live cartridges and a stolen motorcycle were recovered. The department’s post did not identify the arrested person or provide details of the suspected criminal activity.
