Delhi Police Crack Unreported Murder of Minor Girl; Accused Held, Body Found in Suitcase in Burari

New Delhi, August 17: Delhi Police have apprehended a man in connection with the previously unreported murder of a minor girl and recovered her body from a suitcase in Ajit Vihar, Burari, the Outer North District Police said.

The accused has been identified as Avinash, son of Shoki Rai and a resident of Mukundpur Part-2, Delhi.

According to police, the Special Staff of Outer North District acted on secret information and laid a trap under the supervision of Inspector Vishvendra Choudhary, leading to Avinash’s apprehension. Police credited Head Constable Sanjay of the Special Staff with playing a key role in the operation.

Police said that during sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed his alleged involvement in the crime and led the team to Ajit Vihar in Burari, where the girl’s body had been concealed inside a suitcase. The body was recovered at his instance, police said.

Burari Police Station has taken up the case and an FIR is being registered. Further investigation is underway, according to the police.
