Ayodhya/New Delhi, August 12: The selection process for the Chief Executive Officer of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has reached its final stage, with 16 candidates interviewed face-to-face in Ayodhya after a multi-stage screening process that began with 5,585 applications.
The Search Committee said the final rounds of interviews were conducted at the Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra campus on August 11 and 12. The committee will now evaluate the finalists and share a panel of three names with the Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, following which the trust will make the final announcement.
The Search Committee comprises Justice (Retd.) Pramod Kohli, Lieutenant General (Retd.) V.K. Chaturvedi, PVSM, AVSM, SM, and nuclear scientist Dr. Suresh Hawre. According to the statement, their collective expertise spans defence, judiciary and administration.
Of the 5,585 initial applications, 3,877 included detailed curricula vitae. Applicants who submitted CVs were asked to provide information on management capabilities, experience in handling large-scale events and personnel, personal excellence, language proficiency, vision and strategic plans.
The committee said 1,580 submissions were comprehensively evaluated in the next stage, after which approximately 111 candidates were invited for online interactions held over several days. They were assessed on communication skills, professional experience, vision, personality, leadership qualities and technological acumen.
Following the online assessments, 16 candidates were selected for face-to-face interaction in Ayodhya. The finalists represent defence, bureaucracy, corporate and industrial sectors, education and information technology. They are aged between 50 and 70 and include Army veterans, retired IAS and IPS officers, and professionals from government and non-government services.
The final-stage evaluation focused on management skills, personality, vision, strategic plans, technology expertise and leadership potential. The Search Committee described the candidates as accomplished professionals with track records across multiple sectors.
Sameer Panda, Secretary on behalf of the Search Committee for the CEO selection process, said the process was designed around merit-based selection, institutional excellence and transparency.
