New Delhi: Delhi Police’s West District has arrested 25 alleged vehicle thieves and recovered 116 stolen vehicles within 72 hours under ‘Operation Chakra’, in a coordinated drive against organised vehicle theft.
Police said the operation was carried out under the leadership of DCP Hareshwar V. Swami, with coordinated efforts by the Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS), Special Staff, Narcotics Unit and teams from all police stations in the district.
According to police, the operation combined intelligence-based policing, technical surveillance and coordinated field action to crack down on organised vehicle theft networks.
Delhi Police described the operation as an example of effective policing, strategic planning and coordinated intelligence-led enforcement aimed at strengthening law enforcement and public confidence.
