New Delhi, July 21: The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced that water supply will remain unavailable or be available at low pressure in several parts of west Delhi from the morning of July 23 until the morning of July 24 due to interconnection work on a newly laid 900 mm diameter Khyala main pipeline.
According to the DJB, the work will be carried out at two locations — near Punjabi Bagh Club opposite Shamshan Ghat and at the Punjabi Bagh MCD Janmashtami Ground near the Moti Nagar red light. The interconnection is part of the newly laid 900 mm Khyala water main.
The disruption will affect the Naraina UGR command area, including Inder Puri, Todapur Village, Naraina Village, Krishi Kunj, Mansarovar Garden and parts of Rajouri Garden; Kirti Nagar BPS/UGR and HMP Colony; parts of the Punjabi Bagh BPS/UGR command area, including Rajouri Garden and Tilak Nagar; Khyala, Vishnu Garden, J.J. Colony Khyala; Ravi Nagar, Chand Nagar and adjoining localities.
The Delhi Jal Board has advised residents of the affected areas to store adequate water in advance for domestic use. Water tankers will be supplied on request during the disruption.

The Delhi Jal Board has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and said normal water supply is expected to resume after the interconnection work is completed.
