Delhi Police Solves Burglary Case Within 24 Hours, Habitual Offender Arrested with Stolen Cash and Jewellery

New Delhi, June 1: In a swift breakthrough, Delhi Police’s Hauz Qazi Police Station in Central District solved a house burglary case within 24 hours of the crime, leading to the arrest of a habitual offender and the recovery of stolen cash, jewellery and burglary tools.

According to police, the investigation was carried out using a combination of CCTV footage analysis, electronic surveillance and local intelligence inputs, enabling officers to quickly identify and track the accused.

During the operation, police recovered ₹1.80 lakh in stolen cash, silver jewellery and artificial jewellery allegedly stolen during the burglary.

Investigators also recovered the tools used by the accused to break locks and gain entry into the house. The clothes allegedly worn during the commission of the crime were also seized as evidence.

Police said the accused is a habitual burglar and was found to be involved in at least five previous criminal cases.

Officials stated that the case was cracked through extensive fieldwork, technical surveillance and intelligence gathering, allowing the police team to arrest the accused within a day of the burglary being reported.

The recovery of stolen property and the arrest of the suspect have helped police successfully solve the case and prevent further criminal activity, officials said.

Delhi Police highlighted the role of technology-driven policing and coordinated investigative efforts in achieving the quick breakthrough and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens across the national capital.

The accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
