New Delhi, May 27: The Karol Bagh Zone of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has been awarded the prestigious ISO certification for its outstanding work in sanitation, waste management and civic service delivery.
The certification recognises the zone’s continuous efforts towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness, operational efficiency and sustainable urban management.
MCD Commissioner Sanjeev Khirwar congratulated the Deputy Commissioner, officials, sanitation workers, field teams and local residents for their dedicated efforts in achieving the recognition.
He said the certification reflects the zone’s commitment towards delivering quality public services and strengthening civic infrastructure for the benefit of citizens.
Several major initiatives undertaken by the Karol Bagh Zone played a crucial role in securing the ISO certification. These include mechanised road sweeping, dust-free road campaigns, scientific waste collection systems, regular desilting of drains, sanitation drives and intensive monitoring of civic works.
Officials said the continuous implementation of these measures has significantly strengthened cleanliness and public health standards across the zone.
Deputy Commissioner Dilkhush Meena thanked officials, sanitation workers and residents for their consistent cooperation and support.
He further stated that the ISO certification would motivate the zone to work with greater dedication and commitment towards the goal of a cleaner Delhi.
