Delhi Crime Branch Busts Rashid Cable Wala–Hashim Baba Gang Under ‘Operation Gang Bust 2.0’; 6 Shooters Arrested

New Delhi: In a major crackdown on organised crime, the Delhi Police Crime Branch under “Operation Gang Bust 2.0” has busted the notorious Rashid Cable Wala and Hashim Baba gang, arresting six active shooters and gang operatives.

The operation was carried out by the WR-1 unit of the Crime Branch, dealing a significant blow to criminal networks allegedly involved in planned targeted attacks on rival gangs.

According to Delhi Police, the arrested accused were actively associated with organised criminal activities and were allegedly preparing to execute attacks against rival criminals.

Major Recovery

During the operation, police recovered:

  • 10 illegal firearms
  • 81 live cartridges
  • One vehicle allegedly used in criminal activities

Investigators suspect the gang members were planning violent retaliatory strikes as part of ongoing gang rivalries in the capital.

Police Leadership

The successful operation was led by:

  • Inspector Prakash Chand
  • Under supervision of ACP Raj Kumar
  • Overall monitoring by DCP Harsh Indora

Delhi Police described the operation as a major success in its ongoing campaign against organised crime syndicates operating in the national capital.

Officials said further investigation is underway to identify additional gang members, financial links and possible interstate criminal connections associated with the network.
