New Delhi: In a major crackdown on organized crime, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has busted a gang network in Dwarka and arrested a key arms supplier linked to the Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu Gang.
The accused, described as a close associate of the gang, was apprehended during a targeted operation carried out by the Anti-Gang Squad (AGS). Police officials said the arrest marks a significant breakthrough in curbing illegal arms circulation and extortion-related activities in the capital.
During the operation, the team recovered an illegal automatic pistol, a single-shot pistol, and live cartridges from the accused. Preliminary investigation indicates that the individual was actively involved in supplying illegal weapons and supporting extortion rackets linked to the gang.
The operation was led by Inspector Krishan Kumar under the supervision of ACP Bhagwati Prasad, with overall guidance from DCP Harsh Indora.
Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to identify other members of the network and trace the wider supply chain of illegal arms. The crackdown is part of ongoing efforts by the Crime Branch to dismantle organized crime syndicates operating in Delhi.
