Date:

New Delhi: In a major crackdown, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a notorious proclaimed offender involved in 47 criminal cases, bringing an end to his years-long evasion from law enforcement.

The accused, wanted in an Arms Act case registered at Laxmi Nagar Police Station, had been absconding for several years and was actively changing locations to avoid arrest.

According to officials, the accused has a long criminal history with 47 cases registered against him, including serious offences such as robbery, snatching, burglary, vehicle theft, and violations under the Arms Act.

The arrest was carried out by a team from the Special Staff/Crime Branch (SR), which conducted a precision operation using a combination of technical surveillance and human intelligence inputs to track down the fugitive.

Police sources said the accused had been constantly shifting hideouts across locations, making it difficult to trace him. However, sustained monitoring and intelligence gathering eventually led to his capture.

The operation was executed under the supervision of senior officers, including Inspector Parvesh Lamba, ACP Sanjay Nagpal, and DCP Aditya Gautam, who were instrumental in coordinating the successful arrest.

Officials described the arrest as a significant achievement in curbing repeat offenders and strengthening public safety in the capital. Further legal proceedings against the accused are underway.
