MCD Seals 16 Polluting Units in Shahdara’s Sadatpur; Crackdown on Environmental Violations

Date:

New Delhi: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has carried out a stringent enforcement drive against polluting units in Ward No. 246, Sadatpur, under the Shahdara North Zone.

During the action, a total of 16 units were sealed, including 12 water-polluting units and 4 air-polluting units. These establishments were reportedly involved in activities such as chemical processing and jeans dyeing, contributing to environmental degradation.

Officials stated that the crackdown was part of a broader effort to curb illegal and non-compliant industrial operations that pose risks to public health and the environment.

The MCD emphasized that such actions reflect its firm commitment to ensuring strict compliance with environmental regulations and safeguarding the well-being of residents. Further monitoring and enforcement measures are expected to continue in the area.
