New Delhi: In a swift and decisive operation, the Delhi Police of Outer-North District has solved a sensational attempt to murder case within an hour of the incident, apprehending three juveniles in conflict with law (CCLs).
The Incident:
On April 7, 2026, at around 8:08 PM, a PCR call reporting a stabbing incident was received at PS Bhalswa Dairy. The victim, identified as Amit (18), a resident of SSN Colony, Bhalswa Dairy, was admitted to BJRM Hospital by his brother with multiple stab injuries. He was later referred to LNJP Hospital for further treatment.
According to police, the victim sustained several sharp weapon injuries on his hand, stomach, and back, with back injuries inflicted while he was attempting to escape. Based on the complaint, FIR No. 174/2026 was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police Action & Investigation:
Under the leadership of Joint Commissioner of Police Vijay Singh and supervision of DCP Hareshwar Swami, a dedicated team led by Inspector Surender Singh Yadav was formed. The team acted swiftly using local intelligence inputs and technical tracking to identify and apprehend the accused within an hour.
The three accused, all juveniles aged between 15 and 16, were tracked and taken into custody. Two knives used in the crime were also recovered from their possession.
Motive Revealed:
During interrogation, the juveniles confessed to the crime, stating that they were previously friends with the victim. However, due to a fallout around four months ago and a prior physical altercation, they developed enmity.
On April 7, around 7:00 PM, they located Amit near Bajrang Chowk, Bhalswa Dairy, and attacked him with knives when he tried to flee, inflicting multiple injuries.
Further Action:
All three juveniles have been apprehended as per legal procedures and produced before the competent authority. Further investigation in the case is ongoing.
The Delhi Police has reiterated its commitment to swift action and maintaining law and order in the city.
